Ecdysis is the process by which a living organism sheds its old outer layer to allow for growth.

This work addresses a creative impasse: familiar methods and meanings become tight, fall away, and cease to function. The new has not yet taken shape; without a stable structure it unsettles us with its indeterminacy.

Rebirth is uncomfortable. Yet through this passage a new space of strength, freedom and growth emerges.
